10 cc's of Cosmo

Halloween season makes for the most fun garnishes when it comes to cocktails! I couldn't resit buying some syringes to add some flare to my spooky drinks!

The classic cosmopolitan is one of the easiest drinks to put a seasonal spin on it! The cosmo doesn't take a lot of ingredients and it's pretty fool proof. Last year I did the CosmoBOOlitan using black food coloring but this year I'm going with a deconstructed cosmo taking out the cranberry juice and putting it into the syringe. Unfortunately the cranberry juice didn't give a red enough color or texture so I added apple cider and some hot pink food coloring!

Let's make a deconstructed cosmo with a Halloween spin!

10 cc's of Cosmo

- 2 oz Vodka

- 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

- 3/4 oz triple sec

- 1 oz cranberry juice

- 1 oz apple cider

- 2 drops hot pink food coloring

- 10-20ml Syringe for Liquid

Method:

Before you start, put your martini glass into the freezer to chill it. In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, lime juice and triple sec. Shake over ice. In a separate glass, add your cranberry juice, apple cider and food coloring and give it a stir! Grab your chilled martini glass from the freezer (or a coupe glass that will fit your syringe) and pour your vodka, lime and triple sec mixture into the glass. Take your syringe and draw the cranberry/apple cider/food coloring liquid into your syringe. Place your liquid filled syringe into your glass and get ready to serve! This is super fun for guests because when you're ready to drink your cosmo, you just dispense your syringe liquid into the glass! Best enjoyed sharing with your besties! (sex in the city vibes, anyone?)
