Happy Friday! Do you know where your spritz is? Since it's definitely spritz o'clock, I thought I would do a holiday spin on the limoncello spritz! A spritz that I don't think gets enough credit for how delicious it is.

The Inspiration

In honor of the 12 days of Christmas song, let's make a super simple spritz with a partridge in a pear tree pun. Because who doesn't love a good holiday pun? It's a fun way to celebrate the season and bring a little extra joy to your glass.

The Recipe

She's spritzin'.... A Partridge in a Pear Spritz 🍐

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 oz Limoncello

  • 4 oz Prosecco

  • 1 oz Pear Nectar

  • 1/2 oz Ginger Simple Syrup (recipe available on our website)

  • Soda water (plain or lemon lime)

  • Fresh mint for garnish

  • Pear slice for garnish

Preparation:

Now, onto the good part. Making the spritz!

In a glass, add your limoncello, prosecco, pear nectar, and ginger simple syrup and stir. Next, add in your ice and top with soda water. Give it another good stir. And finally, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of pear to make it look as good as it tastes. This is best enjoyed at a festive holiday brunch!

Ginger Simple Syrup:

This ginger-infused simple syrup adds a spicy twist to the cocktail.

Here's how to make it:

Ingredients:

- 1/2 Cup Hot water (bring it to a boil for best results)

- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar

- 2 tablespoons slices of ginger

- 1 teaspoon of microplaned ginger

Directions: In a bowl, stir together the hot water and sugar until the sugar fully dissolves. Add in your ginger slices and microplaned ginger, give it a good stir, and let it sit for 30 minutes to overnight in the fridge, covered. Once it's ready, strain the mixture and transfer it into a mason jar or syrup dispenser using a cheesecloth and strainer. Don't forget to label it, so you know that this is the magic elixir that gives your Gin St. Nicky its unique flavor! This simple syrup will last in the fridge, well-sealed, for about 1-2 weeks

So there you have it, folks. Your very own Partridge in a Pear Spritz. Just the thing to make your holiday gatherings a little more festive. So raise your glasses, make a toast to good times, and enjoy your delicious spritz. Cheers!
