A Spooky Halloween Cocktail: Split Pea Soup

As Halloween approaches, it's time to embrace the spooky vibes and what better way to do that than with a ghoulishly delightful cocktail? Inspired by the eerie film "The Exorcist," this creative concoction brings the essence of the infamous split pea soup to your glass in the form of a spicy matcha margarita.

Split Pea Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Tequila

  • 1 oz Lime Juice

  • 3/4 oz Triple Sec

  • 1/2 oz Agave

  • 2-3 Jalapeno Slices (adjust for spice level)

  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder

  • Splash of Seltzer Water (lemon-lime or plain)

  • Jalapeno Slice (seeds removed)

  • Agave & Black Salt for Rim

  • Dehydrated Lime for Garnish

  • 5-7 Peas for Garnish

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave, matcha powder, and jalapeno slices.

  2. Add ice and shake well.

  3. Prepare a rocks glass by painting agave on the rim and dipping it in black salt.

  4. Add fresh ice to the glass and double strain the mixture into it.

  5. Top with a splash of seltzer water and stir gently.

  6. Garnish with a jalapeno slice, dehydrated lime wheel, and an odd number of peas (5-7).
