Inspired by the abundance of cherries that seem to scream 'Valentine's', we're creating a cherry-themed take on an old fashioned. The combination of whiskey and cherries is irresistible! And since it's the season of sweet nothings, we're adding a hint of chocolate flavoring. So, are you ready to stir up some love with our 'Old Fashioned Valentine' cocktail? Here's what you'll need:

An Old Fashioned Valentine

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey (you can opt for 2 oz if you prefer yours a little stronger. I like mine sweeter)

• 1 oz simple syrup

• 3-4 chopped cherries (always be careful of the pits)

• 2 dashes chocolate bitters

• Dash of orange juice

• Cherry for garnish

Directions

In a chilled cocktail mixing glass, add your rye whiskey, simple syrup, and chopped cherries. Give it a very good muddle. Next, add in your dash of orange juice and 2 dashes of chocolate bitters. Add in a good handful of ice and stir for about 25 seconds. Grab a fresh chilled short glass, add 1 large ice cube and double strain your cherry whiskey mixture into it. Garnish with a cherry and voila! You have a very romantic cocktail! This is best enjoyed sipping over candle light!
