Apple Cider Cocktail in wine glass with star anise

It's Sunday! Do you know where your brunch is!? How about brunching at home with friends sipping on Apple Cider Mimosas!?

I must admit (and I'm ashamed to admit that a traditional mimosa isn't my brunch drink of choice, I usually like an aperol spritz, a bloody mary or a sweet martini BUT if you replace the orange juice in a mimosa with apple cider....I'd be on board!

Here is my take on a Fall brunch style cocktail. You're sure to have a "bewitching" (see what I did there) time while sipping!

Apple Cider Mimosa 🍎✨

(I used a stemless wine glass for this one so my measurements are based on that. If you want to make this drink in a traditional champagne glass, I would make my measurements in a cocktail mixing glass 1st and pour into your champagne glass)

- 4 oz Apple Cider

- 4 oz Champagne or Prosecco (I prefer Prosecco)

- Squeeze of an orange

- Caramel Syrup

- Cinnamon Sugar

- Star Anise for #garnish

Method:

In your glass (stemless wine glass), dip the rim into your caramel syrup. After the rim of the glass is coated in caramel, dip it into the cinnamon sugar. Next add your bubbly (champagne or prosecco) into the glass, pour in your apple cider next, squeeze the orange into the mixture to top it off and then stir. Carefully add in your ice (be sure not to mess the caramel and cinnamon sugar on the rim). Garnish with a star anise and add a straw (if you don't want to mess up your lipstick). This is best enjoyed while eating pumpkin waffles at brunch!

Happy Fall Brunching!
