Celebrate Easter with a Cadbury Carajillo

Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a delightful cocktail that incorporates everyone's favorite Easter candy—Cadbury eggs! This creative concoction, the Cadbury Carajillo, is sure to be a hit at your Easter gatherings. Here's how you can make this festive and indulgent drink.

Cadbury Carajillo

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Licor 43: This sweet, vanilla-flavored liqueur forms the base of our cocktail.

  • 1 1/2 oz cooled espresso: Adds a rich coffee flavor, perfect for coffee lovers.

  • 3/4 oz Tequila or Rum: Choose your favorite for a boozy twist.

  • 3/4 oz Cadbury Syrup: Sweet Cadbury goodness in syrup form.

  • Pinch of salt: Enhances the flavors.

  • 1 cup crushed ice: To chill and blend the cocktail.

  • 1/4 teaspoon of xanthan gum (optional): For a smoother texture.

  • Chocolate syrup: To rim the glass.

  • 1 mini Cadbury egg, cut in half: For a playful garnish.

Directions

  1. Blend: Combine Licor 43, cooled espresso, tequila (or rum), Cadbury syrup, a pinch of salt, crushed ice, and optional xanthan gum in a blender. Blend until smooth.

  2. Prepare the Glass: Take a short glass and dip the rim into chocolate syrup to give it a delicious, sweet edge.

  3. Pour and Garnish: Pour your blended cocktail into the prepared glass. Garnish with a mini Cadbury egg cut in half to resemble bunny ears.

Cadbury Syrup:

  • 1/4 cup Water

  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 3 mini Cadbury eggs or 2 regular sized

Combine 1/2 cup water, a little less than a full 1/4 cup granulated sugar and unwrapped cadbury eggs in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until fully combined, the sugar is fully dissolved and the cadbury eggs are fully melted. Remove from the heat. Let sit for to cool. You might need to stir everyone once in a while to get a fully smooth texture. I reccomend only making to use right away. I don't recommend storing to use in the future as the chocolate might harden.

And there you have it—a Cadbury Carajillo that’s both a treat for the eyes and the palate!

This cocktail not only brings the joy of Easter into a glass but also provides a playful and delicious excuse to enjoy Cadbury eggs in a new way. Enjoy your Easter celebrations with a little extra flair and flavor. Cheers!
