A Refreshing Twist for Easter Brunch!

When it comes to cocktails, you can’t go wrong with a margarita. And when in doubt, why not make it spicy? This Easter, we're giving the classic margarita a healthy twist with the refreshing addition of celery juice. Introducing the Spicy Celery Margarita—a perfect blend of spice, citrus, and a hint of earthiness, making it an ideal companion for your Easter brunch.
Spicy Celery Margarita
Ingredients
2-3 stalks of celery
1/4 cup of water
2 oz tequila
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz lime juice
2 slices of jalapeno
1/2 oz ginger simple syrup
Pinch of salt
Celery, jalapeno, and Tajin for garnish
Instructions:
Celery Juice Preparation
Blend: Chop up the celery stalks and place them in a blender with 1/4 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
Strain: Strain and press the blended mixture to extract the celery juice.
Cocktail Preparation
Mix and Muddle: In a mixing glass, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and jalapeno slices. Muddle the ingredients well.
Shake: Strain the mixture into a cocktail shaker. Add celery juice, ginger simple syrup, a pinch of salt, and ice. Shake vigorously.
Serve: Rim a rocks glass with lime juice and Tajin seasoning. Fill the glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail into it.
Garnish: Add celery, jalapeno, and a lime wedge for garnish.
Ginger Simple Syrup:
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
Combine 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and grated ginger in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until fully combined and the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from the heat. Let sit for 30 mins to an hour at the minimum. Using a mesh strainer, strain out any ginger pieces. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
