The colder days are creeping in, and it's time to transition from refreshing cold beverages to something a bit warmer. One of my favorite fall rituals is to curl up with a cup of hot apple tea. There's something about the flavor of apple that just screams comfort and coziness. As a fun twist on this season's favorite, I've decided to share with you a unique cocktail recipe inspired by apple tea - the Caramel Apple TEAini! This martini is not only delicious and comforting but also uses actual apple tea! Intrigued? Let's dive in!
Why Caramel Apple TEAini?
This martini is a perfect companion for your upcoming Thanksgiving festivities or any fall gathering. If you're hosting, it could serve as a unique welcome drink, or perhaps you could offer it as a dessert drink as an alternative to traditional apple pie. Or why not serve it as both?! The rich flavors of apple, caramel, and vanilla perfectly capture the essence of fall and are sure to make your guests feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The Caramel Apple TEAini 🍎🍵 Here's what you'll need to make your own Caramel Apple TEAini: Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 oz Vanilla Vodka
2 oz brewed apple tea
1/2 oz triple sec or Cointreau
1 oz lemon juice
Caramel Syrup
Cinnamon Simple Syrup
3 slices of an apple
Method: Once you have all the ingredients, follow these steps:
Before you start, put your martini or coupe glass in the freezer to chill it. This will help keep your cocktail cool for a longer time.
In a cocktail shaker, add your vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, cinnamon simple syrup, and apple tea. Add ice and give it a good shake! This will mix all the flavors well and also give your cocktail a nice, frosty texture.
Take your martini glass out of the freezer and twirl caramel syrup onto the bottom of the glass. This adds an extra layer of sweetness and also makes your cocktail look fancy!
Strain your shaker into your martini glass. The straining process will ensure that all the ice and any solid ingredients stay in the shaker, giving you a smooth and enjoyable cocktail.
Garnish with 3 apple slices and dab a little bit of caramel syrup over the apples. This will not only make your cocktail look more appealing but also add a delightful crunch to your drink.
Cinnamon Simple Syrup:
- 1/2 Cup Hot water (I like to bring it to a boil)
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar (you could use brown sugar too!)
- Cinnamon Sticks (about 8)
Method: In a bowl, stir together the hot water and sugar. Stir together until the sugar has fully dissolved. Add in your cinnamon sticks. Give it a good couple stirs and then let it sit for either 30 mins or overnight in the fridge covered. After it has sat, strain it into a mason jar and be sure to label! Flavor simple syrup usually lasts in the fridge sealed well for about 1-2 weeks.
This delicious Caramel Apple TEAini is best enjoyed with a fall-inspired charcuterie board. Cheese pairs excellently with apples, so don't be shy to add a variety of cheeses to your board. And there you have it – a cozy, delicious cocktail that's sure to be a hit at your next fall gathering!
