Now, let's get our batched cocktail on...
The Christmas 75 Punch
Ingredients
(serves about 7-8 people.
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 Bottle of Chilled Champagne or Prosecco (I'm always partial to Prosecco)
- 7 oz Gin (I used Empress of course)
- 1 1/2 oz fresh squeeze lemon juice (strained)
- 2 1/2 oz Cinnamon Simple Syrup (recipe on website- link in bio)
- 14 oz Grapefruit Juice (fresh squeeze is always best)
- 1 can seltzer water (plain or lemon or lime)
- Grapefruit Slices
- Dehydrated Grapefruit slices for garnish (with cinnamon sugar dusting on them)
- Cinnamon stick for garnish
- Light pink ribbon to tie around the glasses (because why not!? Tis the season)!
Directions:
Preparing the Christmas 75 Punch is quite straightforward. Here's how you do it:
In a pitcher or large serving dispenser, add your Prosecco, lemon juice, simple syrup, gin, grapefruit juice, and seltzer water. Give it a good stir! Add in your grapefruit slices and stir again. It's important to serve this immediately as you don't want the Prosecco to go flat. In a glass with ice (and tied with a bow), pour in your delicious pink mixture and garnish with your dehydrated grapefruit and cinnamon stick! This drink is best enjoyed with family and friends, reminiscing of the best holiday memories.
Cinnamon Simple Syrup:
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Hot water (I like to bring it to a boil)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
Cinnamon Sticks (about 8)
Method: In a bowl, stir together the hot water and sugar. Continue stirring until the sugar has fully dissolved. Now, add in your cinnamon sticks. Give it a good couple of stirs and then let it sit for either 30 mins or overnight in the fridge covered. After it has sat, strain the mixture and funnel it into a mason jar or syrup dispenser. Be sure to label it so everyone knows what this magic elixir is! Flavor simple syrup usually lasts in the fridge sealed well for about 1-2 weeks.
