With Thanksgiving around the corner, many of us are thinking about the special meals and drinks we'll be serving to our loved ones. Among the things that make these occasions remarkable, one is the unique touch you add to your recipes. Yes, I'm talking about those little secret ingredients that make your dishes and drinks stand out. For your Thanksgiving bar cart, I have something special to share with you - a simple yet impactful addition that can elevate your autumn cocktails to a whole new level. Yes, it's the Cinnamon Simple Syrup.
A few people asked about my cinnamon simple syrup recipe, and I thought what better time to share it than now. This syrup is incredibly easy to make (pun intended!) and adds a delightful, warm touch of spice to your cocktails. A little bit of this syrup goes a long way, so let's get started without further ado. Cinnamon Simple Syrup: Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Hot water (I like to bring it to a boil)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
Cinnamon Sticks (about 8)
Method:
In a bowl, stir together the hot water and sugar. Continue stirring until the sugar has fully dissolved. Now, add in your cinnamon sticks. Give it a good couple of stirs and then let it sit for either 30 mins or overnight in the fridge covered.
After it has sat, strain the mixture and funnel it into a mason jar or syrup dispenser. Be sure to label it so everyone knows what this magic elixir is! Flavor simple syrup usually lasts in the fridge sealed well for about 1-2 weeks.
So there you have it, a quick and simple recipe for a flavorful addition to your Thanksgiving cocktails. The warm, spicy touch of cinnamon in your drinks will surely be a hit among your guests.
