There's a certain charm in holiday cocktails. They bring a festive spirit to the table, transforming ordinary get-togethers into memorable events. This holiday season, let's raise our glasses to a special cocktail, the Cranberry Orange Gin Martini, perfect for your upcoming Thanksgiving festivities. Originating from garnishyourglam.com, this cocktail is a delightful blend of flavors that will surely impress and please your guests.

While a traditional gin martini is made with gin and vermouth, this recipe adds a festive twist with fresh cranberry and orange juices. The combination of these ingredients makes a cocktail that is as beautiful in appearance as it is in taste. Given its festive look and delightful flavor, it makes for a great cocktail to pair with your turkey day appetizers.

These ingredients combined escalate the martini game to a whole new level. The gin and liquor 43 create the base of the cocktail, while the simple syrup, fresh squeezed orange juice, and cranberry juice add a sweet and fruity twist to the classic martini. The sugar-rimmed glass provides an extra touch of sweetness that complements the tangy taste of the cranberry. Lastly, the garnish of fresh cranberries, rosemary, and orange peel adds an aesthetic appeal and an extra burst of flavor.

Cranberry Orange Gin Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces gin (I used @empress1908gin)

  • 0.75 ounces liquor 43

  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup

  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice

  • 0.75 ounces cranberry juice

  • Sugar for rim

  • Orange seltzer (optional)

  • Fresh cranberries, fresh rosemary, and orange peel for garnish

Method:

Pour all ingredients, excluding sugar and seltzer, into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and give it a good shake. This ensures that all the flavors meld together perfectly. Rim part of your coupe or martini glass with an orange slice and dip into sugar. This not only adds a sweet touch but also makes your drink look more appealing.

Now, pour your cocktail shaker concoction into the coupe glass. Garnish with an orange peel (give it a quick squeeze before you add it, for that extra zesty flavor), fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig. The rosemary adds a hint of herbal flavor that compliments the sweetness of the drink.

If you'd like a little bit of bubbles, add a splash of orange seltzer. This is completely optional but it can add a different texture to your cocktail and make it a little more festive. This cocktail is best enjoyed with friends and family. Not only does it complement your Thanksgiving meal, but it also adds a festive touch to your gathering.

So gather around, raise your glass, and toast to good health and happiness. Cheers!
