ROSE RAMOS GIN FIZZ: A VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL

Who needs flowers when you have rose flavored cocktails for Valentine's Day!? If you're looking for a decadent, velvety, and smooth cocktail to celebrate the day of love, you are in the right place. Today, we present to you, one of the tastiest cocktails ever concocted - the Rose Ramos Gin Fizz. Traditionally, a Ramos Gin Fizz calls for orange flower water, but in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I've opted for Rose water. This cocktail is perfect for a romantic brunch or a cozy evening.

Rose Ramos Gin Fizz Recipe

Here's the recipe to make your own Rose Ramos Gin Fizz. You'll need:

• 2 oz Gin (Rose recommends @empress1908gin Rose Gin)

• 1/2 oz lemon juice

• 1/2 oz lime juice

• 3/4 oz simple syrup

• 1 oz liquid egg whites

• 1 oz heavy whipping cream

• 2-3 dashes of rose water

• 1 can or bottle of seltzer water (lemon lime flavor or plain)

• Dried Rose petals & honey for the rim

• Chilled Collins glass

Directions:

Start by popping your Collins glass in the freezer. In a cocktail shaker, add your gin, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, rose water, egg whites, and heavy whipping cream. Remember to always add your milk product last when using any sort of acid to avoid curdling. Close your cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 25-30 seconds. This is your dry shake. Next, add ice to the shaker and shake again. Grab your chilled Collins glass and paint on a little honey around the rim and sprinkle on your dried rose petals. Pour in about 1 oz of soda water for your base (this will be your fizz). Strain in your gin mixture from your cocktail shaker. Let it settle and start to foam up. Top with soda water until the foam reaches just a little past the top of the glass. This cocktail is best enjoyed by itself as it's incredibly tasty!
