Introduction

On the 22nd day of Christmas, I present to you the Negroni to end all Negronis: the Squeaky Wheel! A Negroni is a classic cocktail that typically consists of gin, but in this exquisite version, we're switching things up by using Mezcal instead. And to make things even more exciting, we're adding a dash of coffee flavors to the mix. This smoky and coffee-flavored cocktail tastes like winter and, to give it a Holiday flare, we've added a Christmas tree ice mold.

SANTA'S SQUEAKY SLEIGH

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Mezcal

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 3/4 oz Coffee Liqueur

  • 1/4 oz Amaretto Liqueur

  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters or Orange Bitters (I used orange)

  • Christmas Tree Ice Mold

  • Dehydrated Orange for garnish

Directions:

In a cocktail mixing glass, begin by adding your mezcal, campari, coffee, and amaretto liqueur. Next, add your 2 dashes of bitters. Lastly, add in your ice and stir well for about 25 seconds. Now, grab a chilled rocks glass and add in your ice sphere or, if you're feeling festive, your Christmas tree ice mold. Strain your mezcal mixture into your rocks glass and garnish with a dehydrated orange.

There's no better way to enjoy this cocktail than by sipping it by the fire, while you wait for Santa to arrive. So, gather your ingredients, follow these steps, and treat yourself to a Santa's Squeaky Sleigh this holiday season. It's the perfect cocktail to add some festive cheer to your holidays.

Cheers!
