BOOberry Tonic
Ingredients:
Blueberry Ice Cubes: Prepare these by placing one blueberry in each compartment of an ice tray, filling with water, and freezing overnight.
1 1/2 oz Gin: Use Empress 1908 Gin to achieve that stunning purple hue.
Splash of Fresh Lime Juice: Adds a zesty kick.
Tonic Water: For that classic gin and tonic fizz.
Handful of Blueberries: Fresh or frozen, for muddling.
1/2 oz Simple Syrup: Optional, for those who prefer a sweeter drink.
Festive Bat Straw: To garnish and add a spooky touch.
Directions:
Muddle: In a cocktail mixing glass, combine a handful of blueberries, simple syrup (if using), lime juice, and a splash of tonic water. Muddle these ingredients together to release the blueberry juices.
Assemble: In a Collins glass, fill to the brim with blueberry ice cubes. Strain the muddled mixture over the ice, pressing with a spoon to extract all the liquid.
Top Off: Fill the glass nearly to the top with tonic water, then pour in the gin. Be sure to stir well to mix the layers.
Garnish: Finish with a bat straw for a festive flair.
