It's Thanksgiving Eve, and the festive spirit is in the air! As we all prepare for the grand meal tomorrow, I thought of sharing a special cocktail recipe that you can whip up using ingredients you probably already have at hand for the meal. This unique concoction is not only a delightful way to use your leftovers but also a surefire way to add a bit of cheer to your Thanksgiving! If, like me, you feel overwhelmed by the large grocery list just to prepare the meal, this is the perfect cocktail for you because you'll likely not need to buy anything else. Once you're done prepping all your dishes, use your leftovers and make a cocktail out of it!

Also known as the Smoked Rosemary Cranberry Orange Bourbon Sour, this cocktail is a flavorful fusion of the traditional holiday flavors. The tangy freshness of cranberry and orange juice, the warm richness of bourbon, and the smoky hint of rosemary all come together to create a cocktail that is sure to be a hit with your guests. Here is how you can prepare it:

The Thanksgiving Leftovers Sour

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Bourbon

  • Rosemary Sprig

  • 1 oz fresh squeeze orange juice

  • 1 oz cranberry juice

  • 1 oz egg white

  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

  • 2 dashes angostura bitters

Method: Begin by smoking your cocktail glass with a rosemary sprig. Let it sit while you prepare the drink. In a cocktail shaker, combine your bourbon, fruit juices, and egg white. Use a hand frother to give it a froth. Add ice and shake again! Now, grab your rosemary smoked glass and pour out your cocktail shaker liquid into the glass. Top it off with 2 dashes of angostura bitters and garnish with fresh cranberries! Your Thanksgiving Leftovers Sour is ready to be savored.

This exquisite cocktail is best enjoyed after a long Thanksgiving day when you're ready to put your feet up! It's a refreshing blend of holiday flavors, perfect to unwind and enjoy the cozy holiday evening. So, this Thanksgiving, make the most of your leftovers and treat yourself to this delicious cocktail.

Cheers to a Happy Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and scrumptious food (and drinks)! Enjoy responsibly.
