Feeling a bit "grinchy" this Monday? Don't worry, we've got you covered. We present to you, the Spicy Grinch - a holiday cocktail that is sure to combat the "case of the Mondays" and bring a little cheer into your day.

This special cocktail is inspired by the beloved 1966 film "The Grinch who stole Christmas." A favorite of many during childhood and still adored by many in adulthood, this movie has inspired us to create a drink that captures its spirit. The Spicy Grinch is a spin on a cucumber margarita, chosen for its perfectly grinchy green color. But beware - we've added a bit of spice to it! You can't go wrong with a spicy margarita, can you? So, without further ado, let's get our Grinch on...

The Spicy Grinch Cocktail Recipe

This recipe is batched to serve 4-6 drinks. Here's what you'll need:

  • 7 oz Tequila

  • 2 cups cucumber juice

  • 4 oz triple sec

  • 2 oz Red Chili Simple Syrup

  • 4 oz lime juice

  • Splash of soda water

  • Tajin Rim

  • Red Chili Pepper for garnish

Directions : Start by making your fresh cucumber juice. Chop up 3 cucumbers with skin kept on (cut into inch-wide pieces) and place cucumber pieces into a food processor. Pulse until they are fully blended- the more blended they are, the easier they will be to get the liquid out. Grab a cheesecloth and strainer and pour out your food processor cucumber mixture into the cheesecloth over the strainer. You'll need to squeeze your cheesecloth to get all the liquid out. Repeat this until you have 2 cups of cucumber juice.

Now it's time to make our drinks! In a pitcher, add your cucumber juice (give it one more strain just in case), tequila, triple sec, simple syrup, lime juice (use strainer) and seltzer water. Give it a good stir! You can serve immediately or let sit in the fridge for 30 mins. When you're ready to serve, line your glasses with lime juice and then dip into Tajin seasoning for the rim. Add fresh ice and pour in your grinchy mixture from the pitcher. Garnish with a red chili pepper (cut into a heart, of course). This should last about 3 days in the fridge.

Best enjoyed while watching the classic film! Cheers to the Spicy Grinch, and here's to a holiday season full of cheer, laughter, and delicious drinks.
