As we count down the days to Christmas, why not add a little more cheer to your holiday celebrations? On the 23rd day of Christmas, we're making the rosemary stretch! With all the sweet drinks out there, I thought I'd do something savory! This Christmas Martini with Rosemary Infused Olive Oil is obviously inspired by Christmas flavors and it's the perfect cocktail to celebrate the holiday season!

If you're wondering about the rosemary-infused olive oil - don't worry, it's as easy as it sounds. And the best part? You can prepare it ahead of time, so it'll be ready to use when you're ready to mix your Christmas Martini. So, let's get started with the olive oil infusion.

How to Make Rosemary Infused Olive Oil:

First, we are going to infuse our olive oil, 2-5 days ahead. In a tiny mason jar, add olive oil (not filling all the way to the top), a dash of salt, a dash of pepper, 1 garlic clove, and a couple rosemary sprigs. Seal the jar and let it sit for 2-5 days before using. The result? A beautifully aromatic and flavorful infused olive oil that will not only serve as an extra kick of flavor to your martini but also a fancy garnish!

Creating the Perfect Christmas Martini:

Now that our rosemary infused olive oil is ready, it's time for the most exciting part - making the martini! This cocktail is as simple as it is delicious, and you'll be sipping on your holiday cheer in no time.

Christmas Martini w/ Rosemary Infused Olive Oil

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2.5 oz Vodka

  • 0.5 oz extra dry vermouth

  • 1 oz olive brine

  • a couple drips of rosemary infused olive oil

  • 2 olives and a rosemary sprig for garnish

And here's how to mix it:

In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, dry vermouth, and strain in your olive brine. Add ice and shake vigorously. I like a really well shaken martini. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with a couple drops of your infused olive oil, 2 olives and a rosemary sprig! Best enjoyed paired with Christmas dinner!

This Christmas Martini with Rosemary Infused Olive Oil is the perfect balance of savory and refreshing - a notable departure from the usual sweet holiday cocktails. Make your infused olive oil now, and it'll be ready in time for Christmas! So, let's raise a glass to the holiday season and make it a cheerful one. Cheers!
